City planner
The idea of the project:
In this group project we had a fictitious client that wanted help with building a digital city planner tool. During this project our goal was to implement a spline-based system and PCG (a procedural content generation) to a user-friendly product. We wanted to be able to place and edit buildings, road systems, greenery like parks, forest and waterways and tools to modify the terrain.

What I did in this project:
In the beginning of this project, I was tasked with a first outlook of the UI Widget, I made some buildings in blender and a day/night slider, I initiated a Trello board so that we could easily see what needed to be done.
When we moved on to phase 2, I choose to try and making a working PCG in runtime. I tried to combine foliage with PCG in runtime, I tried to combine spline with PCG. This was by far the hardest part for me in the project.

Improvements:
What we wanted to include in the project that we didn't solve or hade time to make was a for the user to be able to import custom heightmaps to change the terrain, we did try a few ideas, but we didn't get all the way.
We also wanted to be able to make the buildings, when transformed, to spawn new parts and by doing so you can custom the size of your buildings. We did get a working prototype of this but there was simply no time to add it to the project.
In addition, we wanted to make some small improvements like adding a snapping system so that the buildings would snap to the roads, to be able to add or remove spline points on the existing spline.

We also wanted the user to be able to make waterways, but we learned that we could not change the terrain in runtime so unfortunately, we had to give up on that idea.

In this project I worked with Pontus Carling, Olof Björn, David Dehi.
