Solar System
The Idea:

In this solo project we were going to showcase material blueprints in unreal engine, we were going to create all the planets in our solar system.
What I did:

In this project I choose to put my focus on the earth and sun, trying to make them as realistic as possible.
On the earth I made a day and nigh cycle, put in a northern light and some lightnings and then I made a visible atmosphere.
To make this material I used a day texture and a night texture on earth. I added a northern light and some storm effects for that extra detail.
I made a separate material for the clouds on a separate sphere that is slightly bigger in size than earth and then a made a separate material for the atmosphere and again that is slightly bigger than both the earth and the clouds spheres and then I put the three spheres in the same location to make all the effects.
In the material for the sun, I made two base color textures and made dem panner in opposite directions, then I made two noise textures and just like the base color I made them panner in opposite directions but with a slightly slower speed. Then I added some solar flare to that material.

Improvements:

I would have liked to experimented more with the solar flare to make them fan out more and I would have liked to give more love to the other planets and then to have made a nebula or a dark hole to give this project that little extra.
