Brewmaster's Legacy

A legend on tap

The idea of the project:

In this group project the goal of this assignment was to design and build a training/education application in VR using a game engine. The hardware used during the course is the Meta Quest 2.
The idea we had was to create a project focused on training for stress management, prioritization, and, of course, making it enjoyable to use.

As a group, we chose to try using hand tracking, which worked out pretty well. The only issue we encountered was with packaging the project.

What I did in this project:

At the beginning of this project, I was responsible for finding objects to incorporate into the game, such as food, cutlery, VR hands, and characters that would fit the game. Later, we gained an additional team member who took over the characters, animating them and integrating them with the rest of the project. I then shifted my focus to the materials for the food and cutlery. I also created a Niagara-based foam effect for the beer, which we unfortunately had to leave out due to time constraints.

Later in the process, I began working on the spawn blueprint for the food, which I collaborated on with one of the team members. After that, we integrated it into the game, ensuring it worked with the rest of the blueprints. While my teammate incorporated it with the other blueprints, I was testing it using the VR headset.

In this project I worked with Angelo Barahona, Jessika Fröjmark, Erik Schrieber Graas, Emil Linnarsson Lehto and Gustav Engelbrektsson

Unfortunately, the inside of the bread didn't work with the mesh we used.

Here is the material I used for the knife's, I also had to change the UV-mapping in unreal for the knifehandle to make it look better.
